Training program
The Training program will provide collaborators, users, and the national research community with necessary information and proficiency to maximally utilize advanced chronic device designs, monitor device performance, and assess tissue reactions.
- The first component of the training program will focus on training investigators on the design and usage of the Center’s chronic devices, including understanding the device design space, surgical techniques, instrumentation solutions, and performance assessment.
- The second component will focus on training investigators on tissue assessment and analysis for implantable chronic devices, including standardized perfusion techniques, tissue preparation and markers, and available resources for tissue analysis.
The training program will include training manuals, a regular short course in Ann Arbor, a workshop in conjuction with the Society for Neuroscience annual meeting, and consulting services.
